Building +EV Parlays with Sharp Odds

Expected Value (EV) parlay building involves finding the true probability of each leg hitting (often by devigging sharp sportsbook odds), multiplying those probabilities to get the parlay's fair odds, then comparing to the actual odds offered, especially with promotional boosts. Many recreational sportsbooks offer parlay boosts that can turn otherwise -EV parlays into +EV opportunities when the underlying legs have close-to-fair pricing.

The key is to use sharp sportsbook odds (like Pinnacle or CIRCA) as a baseline for true probability. By removing the vig from both sides of a market, you get a fair estimate of each outcome's likelihood. When you multiply these fair probabilities across multiple legs, you get the parlay's true probability. If your actual parlay odds (especially with a boost) imply a lower probability than the true probability, you've found a +EV bet. Even a small edge (1-5% EV) compounds nicely over time.

This calculator lets you build parlays using sharp odds for devigging, manual fair value inputs, or a mix of one-sided and two-sided markets. You can apply boosts, calculate per-leg or total parlay odds, and see your expected value. Use it to evaluate parlay promos from books like DraftKings, FanDuel, or BetMGM and determine whether the boost is enough to overcome the compounded vig. It's especially powerful for Same Game Parlays (SGPs) where you can mix player props and game lines.
